bridiemain.jpgActress Bridie Carter is well known across Australasia for her role as Tess McLeod on the top-rating drama "McLeod's Daughters".  Bridie has been EziBuy’s Brand Ambassador for the past three years and like many women, has proved herself a highly-efficient multi-tasker, juggling not only her EziBuy role, but also motherhood (Bridie and husband Michael are the proud parents of son Otis) along with her "day job" of actress.  Oh, and she's a great dancer too, overcoming her nerves to kick up her heels in great style and win Australia's "Dancing with the Stars" in 2007.  Bridie's popularity as an actress has also seen her receive public recognition with a host of Logie nominations—in one single year she was named in three separate categories, the Gold Logie, Most Popular Actress and Most Outstanding Actress.

I'M BACK!!!!!!

HI Everyone

Thankyou thankyou thankyou for all your wonderful comments from all over the world!!!! I can't believe I have all these friends I haven't met yet. It is so fantastic.

A little update and apology on the past two weeks - finished filming and back home. Then my little boy got sick, nothing serious, but a little scarey at first - we ended up in hospital for 3 days which is why I have had a little blog gap in my blogging, so please forgive me! I know you all understand.

We are back home and a little house-bound for now, but it is good to be home - you don't get a lot of sleep when your child is in hospital - one night I found myself kind of curled up at the end of his bed, feet half hanging off - you have to laugh !

Please don't ever feel shy or too scared to blog in and say hi. If you don't - it's kind of lonely out there in the land of Blog. I got so excited when I saw all your comments.

If I have not responded to fanmail in the past - I have your letters, I promise. The truth is, I am still trying to find the time - because I want to respond myself. It will happen - hopefully sooner rather than later. I do keep everything I have been sent.

I am about to hop into bed with my milo and latest Ezibuy catalogue - an absolute comfort and luxury to me!

I had a little flick through the other day - that Emerge Spy Coat is still calling me. And that roll-neck marino I forgot to order!!!! And what about Urban? Very groovy. I don't know if you European girls can order from over there - I'm sure you can.

I will blog-in again tomorrow when I have slept a little more and will probably make more sense.

Look forward to reading more blogs from all of you

Love always,

Bridiexxx

Hi Bridie!

Wow! That was a nice surprise - just thought I'd have a look and see if you'd blogged yet and you had! I was so excited! I know....(bit lame hey?) But you seem really fun and cool. It is refreshing to meet someone who is warm and friendly.

I was sorry to hear that Otis was not well. That comment about sleeping on the end of the bed - I've been there (3 boys and 1 girl) and sometimes that is just what we need to do to comfort our children. He sounds like such a dear little boy and he obviously means the world to you and your husband. That's fortunate for him as I see so many children every day who have no one to care for them. It is sad for them. Being a teacher sometimes means I have to be the main care-giver to some of these children - and although I love it, it still makes me sad to see them lack the love and care they need.

Well I hope you get to relax and rest for awhile now. You've earnt it! Was the new movie fun to do? My son did a movie with Heath Ledger when he was younger - it was a great experience.

Look forward to hearing from you when you've got some time.

Kind regards,
Sandy :-)

Hello Bridie,

nice to hear from you!

Oh, your poor little boy! Of course, we understand! I'm glad he is better now!

Milo is a drink, isn't it? Would love to try it. You can't get it in Germany in a normal supermarket, Maybe the local Australia shop or Asia shop sells it :D! I'm already addicted to Tim Tam :D!

Thanks for your answer regarding the fainmail. I still haven't abandoned hope but I think I need to send another letter because mine was 2 years ago :P!

warmest regards

Sabrina

Hi!!

Hope your little boy is doing fine and you have some rest!
I was one of the people who was reading your blogs but didnt left a message! Not because i dindnt felt like it, just because i had no idea what to write.. but you have convinced me now!

This is me :-)
Arieke ( 24) from the Netherlands, At the moment i live in Brisbane Australia with a lovely family. I look after to beautiful children who are 3 and almost 5 years old. In about 9 weeks i have leave this fantastic country with lots of great memory's and go back home..after 12 months. But i will be back!

I have seen you of course on Mcleods Daughters, It was such a great show! I am one of the lucky nanny's who also get spare time to travel! The first thing on my big list was traveling to Freeling and Gawler and see where the show was filmed.. I found the entrance of Kingsford and met a lovely men who was still looking after the sheep for the new owners of the property! I had a little chat with him and his wife and he told me i really had to do country tour so I could see so much more! And i did. It was so cool to see a lot of where the show was filmed! Peeking true the windows of Drovers Run lol! Glad I met them and did the tour.. I felt a little but silly to do all that but a lot of friends at home where so jealous so i didnt care anymore and uploaded photos for them on my website.. Found out that there are lots of fans out there!!

I have to go now but keep on writing your blogs and i know Milo's are yummie!!

xx Arieke

Hi Bridie,

I'm glad to hear that your little boy is doing better. It's always horrible when your child is sick.

In your blog from the 25th of june you wrote about hopping into bed with your milo. Please tell me what that is. I would like to know because my name is Elly Milo.

I'm from the Netherlands and have been following McLeods Daughters from the beginning. I very very much love that series.
In Holland we are now watching the last series but the first 5 seasons where the best. I loved your role as Tess. I think of you as a great actress.

Best wishes

Hi Bridie!

Reading your comments in your previous blog regarding accessories made me question - Is it possible to own too many scarves??? They would have to be my fav at the moment! I buy a new one almost every time I go out shopping! My husband swears they are breeding in our house!! I just love all the styles and colours available and they're also a great alternative to a necklace!

There are some occasions when I can go months without ordering anything from Ezibuy - others, it seems weekly! In fact with the number of blue and white parcels that have been arriving on my doorstop lately, I'm seriously considering adding the delivery guy to my Christmas card list!! All the lovely cardies I've brought this Winter have all become fast favourites which got me wondering about my favourite all time purchase from Ezibuy. For me, I would have to say the Capture Denim jacket (I now own 2 in different colours!). I practically live in mine and have had requests from family and friends to order them also! I was wondering what you would consider as your favourite purchase, if you have one??

Anyway, glad to hear that Otis is on the mend! As a mother who has also spent time in hospital with her 2 sons, I know the scarey feeling all too well! I have to say on both occasions it's also been a very humbling experience and makes you really appreciate how lucky you are when you see the number of sick kids who have to spend months on end in hospital, some who have been there since they were born. It made me realise just how truly blessed I was!

All the best!

Jo
