bridiemain.jpgActress Bridie Carter is well known across Australasia for her role as Tess McLeod on the top-rating drama "McLeod's Daughters".  Bridie has been EziBuy’s Brand Ambassador for the past three years and like many women, has proved herself a highly-efficient multi-tasker, juggling not only her EziBuy role, but also motherhood (Bridie and husband Michael are the proud parents of son Otis) along with her "day job" of actress.  Oh, and she's a great dancer too, overcoming her nerves to kick up her heels in great style and win Australia's "Dancing with the Stars" in 2007.  Bridie's popularity as an actress has also seen her receive public recognition with a host of Logie nominations—in one single year she was named in three separate categories, the Gold Logie, Most Popular Actress and Most Outstanding Actress.

Truly Winter

Hello All!!!!

I too get excited when I see you have all written, and I have to say hello to you Zuzanna, Sandy, Tanja,Daniela,

Elin, Sabrina, Sandra, Jo,Elly,  Arieke - love all your comments and fond hello's!

We are the Ezibuy girls - getting together online, forming our own little community. It is a very loving and comforting feeling in this sometimes crazy world!!!!

My little boy had his first day back at pre-school yesterday - we were both very excited! He was going a little stir-crazy at home. My little family has been reminded over the past few weeks how precious life is. One of my son's teacher's died very suddenly last week, and the week before a lovely man who I worked with on McLeod's for five years passed away. Both young, before their time, both parents, both dedicated and really wonderful, giving people. I guess you never know when your number is up - it reminds me to not get caught up in the little things, the unimportant things - to remember that all I have is today. And to love, love, love those around me and never take anyone or anything for granted!

Jo - I am a woman who thinks you can definately never have too much of anything! As long as its not a damaging thing! I have never been good at moderation and if scarves are your thing - go for it!!! They are a great accessary. I think my favorite Eziby item would have to be.......oooh, too many! I have this great silver/grey jersey dress I am really into at the moment. I live in all the merino jumpers and gorgeous woolen singlets. Have you seen the Isobar stuff? See - too much. I love that there are so many different looks and styles to choose from. I am actually ready to put in a new order now - and I am up for some new sheets! And lovely Egyptian Cotton Towels!

To explain to Elly and anyone else not from Australia - milo is a chocolate powder that is lovely with hot or cold milk - not too sweet. I do the low-fat version as a bedtime treat sometimes - with hot water and a dash of milk. Very yummy and great if you can't sleep. Which can happen to me if I am stressed or really busy or excited - I'm sure you all know.

I didn't know you could visit the old McLeod's set - I guess I still think of Drover's Run (its real name is Kingsford) as my home. I had and still have the strongest and most fond memories of that house - for me and Tess, if that makes sense. I think playing a character for that length of time - Tess will always be a part of me. I was so lucky to have been given that role.

Tanja, the movie I was working on was called I LOVE YOU TOO, and it will have cinema release next year. I am sure it will got to Europe and many places around the world, so I hope you all get to see it. It is a romantic comedy - lots of people should enjoy it! I had a great time making it.

I am also working on a couple of my own projects amongst other things, so hopefully you will all be able to share these with me too one day.

Anyway, it is 9.15pm and I am still working, and I am really not sure where the hours in the day go - but, I have to say my Blogs to you all don't really feel like work, more a lovely chat with new and some not so new friends.

Have a lovely rest of the week, all of you. Look forward to hearing from you. I will also try not to order too many blue and white packaages - which is hard to to resist!! We all need treats and things in the post to look forward to!

Take care and fly high.......enjoy friends and family!

G'day Bridie,

Still up and reading your new blog.. was planning to go to bed and turn my laptop off, but i always check for message's from home before i go to sleep. Its always hard to keep in touch with family and friens because of the time diffrence!

So sad to here about your loss. Its always hard when people pass away and specialy when they are to young and leaving there loved one's behind. Its true the only thing we have is today and we have to be thankfull for that.. and unfortunately we forget that to often in our busy lives.

I have lots of things on my wishlist waiting for me to buy here on Ezibuy!! I am looking for an extra job next to my fulltime nanny work but its not that easy in this economy... I even thougt I was helping the economy because I already spent a lot of money on clothes! lol.. now i have to earn it fist again! But i do my job with lots of love because I am very lucky to be working in a great and lovely family. It will be a hard and emotional goodbye next month for me and the kids a think! And i will bring lots of good memories home.
It would be weird for you to here that there ar people looking true your windows at your home then ( drovers run)! If I didnt met the men who was looking after the sheep I had never known there was a tour.I still cant believe I was there.. it was great!

Time to go to bed, otherwise the kids will wake me up jumping on my bed!
Wish you also a lovely week with family and friends.

Arieke :-)

You're absolutely right about not taking life for granted. I love McLeods daughters so much because I think, in a way, that I can relate to Tess alot. I lost my parents when I was younger...(16) I still have my sister, and I'm forever grateful to that! I made a promise to myself to never complain about small things anymore amd always be happy about what I do have instead of being bummed about what I don't. My favorite quote is: "It's not the length but depth of life that counts."

Oh, and about the McLeods set. Does it really look like it did on television.. Did you shoot it on many different places in S.A or was it shoot around the neighbourhood, if you know what I mean!? Do you still keep in touch with Lisa and the others... how is she doing now?! Whenever I think of her I can't picture anything but Claires tragically death in my head. You guys did those scenes so frickin' well!!! That really shows what a talented actress you truly are!!!!!

I hope you are well and all. And I defenitely look forward to your new movie. I hope it will be screened here in Sweden as well.

I think I need to take a cold shower or something now or put my head in the freezer.. as I'm melting away due to the heat here.

Hope to hear from you soon again! Take care of your little family and yourself!!

Hi Bridie

It's always so good to hear from you. Everyday I'm looking at this Blog, It's so excited what you are talking about.

I would be so happy, when the movie would be realease in Europe!I'm open for all new movies, which are coming in the cinemas!

And about McLeod's, I also wanted to ask you how you felt to play in this Series and if you are still in contac with someone of the Cast?

So it's winter, how is the weather? It's certainly warm.. but I think it's not very bad. Here in Switzerland the weather is changing all the, you know, one day it is sunny and one day it is raining.:)

So now I'm preparing for my Holidays! Me and my Familiy are going to my home country Serbia. See all the family.

What about you and your Familiy? Are you maybe going anywhere?

So have a great week! I'm looking forward to hear from you soon!

Many sunny regards Tanja

Hi Bridie,

hope you had a great weekend! It's always nice to hear from you :D!

Really wish it could be winter here as well. It's definitely too hot in Germany. You can hardly sleep at night (Somehow reminds me on a Mcleods episode :D)! On the other hand it's nice to wear some sleazy clothes :D!

Sorry to hear about the loss!! It's always sad when someones died especially when they died too young. My 2nd cousin died at age 21 in a car accident. It was way too early for him!!

I hope it will still be possible to visit the McLeod's set when I will be able to go to Australia (maybe next year)!

So I definitely have to try Milo :D

We'll see if we really get to see your films and other projects :D! *fingers crossed*

warmest regards
Sabrina
