bridiemain.jpgActress Bridie Carter is well known across Australasia for her role as Tess McLeod on the top-rating drama "McLeod's Daughters".  Bridie has been EziBuy’s Brand Ambassador for the past three years and like many women, has proved herself a highly-efficient multi-tasker, juggling not only her EziBuy role, but also motherhood (Bridie and husband Michael are the proud parents of son Otis) along with her "day job" of actress.  Oh, and she's a great dancer too, overcoming her nerves to kick up her heels in great style and win Australia's "Dancing with the Stars" in 2007.  Bridie's popularity as an actress has also seen her receive public recognition with a host of Logie nominations—in one single year she was named in three separate categories, the Gold Logie, Most Popular Actress and Most Outstanding Actress.

SPRING SHOWCASE IS HERE!!!!!!o

Hello again -

Not sure if any of you found my mini-blog in the "comment" section.

Apologies, I left my laptop at home as we were away for several days - was a little difficult logging in on my iphone, and had left all blogging details at home. Silly me! So. apologies once again.

But........more importantly - have you seen Spring???? I know some of you have already put in orders - I'm about to put a new one in right now. I don't want to miss out. Oh, and by the way for anyone who loves a batgain, there are some great discounts on many items so check it out. I do love a bargain myself - although it does seem to justify me spending more sometimes - my mind can work in funny ways when it comes to shopping! But, as we all know - life is short - enjoy and be happy!

I just cannot get over the glorious colour of our new Spring range - after all the warm and often darker colours of winter, it really is so enlivening and refreshing. And so pretty and feminine.....The Emerge Summer Trench is a knockout! And the Urban Double Layer Top in Aztec is such a gorgeous design. Many choices, many choices......Capture have the most elegant and simple Shell Top in Oatmeal or white - so, so lovely.....

Someone asked me if I had any say in what Tess wore in McLeod's. Absolutely. One of my preparations for an episode would be to go through each scene with the Wardrobe Designer and work out what Tess would wear. I am a trained Actor (NIDA), and a big part of a character is their clothing and how they express themselves. We can learn so much from a character by their costume - it can help the emotional content of a scene. If a character is traumatised or angry or vibrantly happy, clothing can reflect a mood. I have always been very detailed in these choices. With Tess, we always had a bit of an edge to her, as she grew up in the city, unlike her sister who was very classic born and bred. A pair of shoes can make me feel entirely different and can alter and inform a character's walk, posture, outlook and attitude. I find it all a wonderful facet of my job. And I have always loved dressing up, putting on a costume!

Capture have all these gorgeous Tunic tops - I know Tess would have loved them! great cuts and really great fabrics. Also the Capture Pin-Tuck shirts would have been right up her alley. In fact Ezibuy would have been wonderful for her stuck on Drover's Run. I can imagine her late at night in the study on the computer ordering on line. Can't you????

Embarassed My little boy is helping tonight - this is his contribution!

And while she's there, maybe Tess could order something from the Men's range for Nick and get him out of those country plaid shirts!! Ha ha!!

Dear Bridie,

Hope you don't mind me having a little fun with Otis note to us?
I've enjoyed shopping at ezibuy and have spent toooooooo much lately. Comes with living in the country. I love my blue pea jacket!

I've looked again at some of the series of McClod's daughters ( :-) ) and took some notice of the clothes you wore. I was still sidetracked by tess though and the relationships she had with Claire and Nick. I'd love to have a sister like her. It was a special relationship and one everyone needs. I can't help being a fan of Tess.

Cheers,
Sandy :-) xo

Hi Bridie,

only a little stop here on your page before I go to bed.
It is very funny: you introduce the new spring collection and the German people get their catalog for the fall season. But I will remember your tips for our next springtime beginning in March...

I was very surprised when you wrote that you also decided what ?Tess? should wear in the different scenes. I always enjoyed Tess`styling, first of all her make-up. To look after your styling and make-up in everyday life is a very important thing for me though my wardrobe is more comfortable and sportive. My new boots are so comfortable, I love them! Else I wear more sneakers...

So, that is enough from me today! I am looking forward to ?seeing? you again. I always appreciate your blogs.

Love, Daniela

You know...I keep getting these emails from Ezibuy saying "check out our new fashion bla bla bla" but it seems like it's only "NEW" in the regular size fashion (even then, there are still styles from years ago).

For a fact, I know that the SARA catalogue has items in there from over 1 year ago, because I save some of the catalogues (why? I have no idea, it's not like I get any great ideas from it!). But SERIOUSLY! Get some style in your style team. Just because we are 18+ doesn't mean we need to wear granny, frumpy clothes. Take a page out of City Chic's styles - trendy and cheaper than your stuff!!!

Hi Jenine,
Sorry you are unhappy with SARA styling; the new SARA Spring catalogue goes on sale 6 August. Would love to get your feedback and even have a chat?

Hi
I was recently talking to a friend who had used a 'Virtual Model 'on another website and told me how fantastic it was to be able to superimpose the clothes on your photo. i am sure people would buy lots more if they could try clothes on in a virtual way. It would also save heaps on returns etc. I think the name was My Virtual Model and it is used heaps in the USA.

Just love so many of your fashions but am very disappointed that, at 5'1" and a size 7 I cannot even think about buying many of them. Any chance of going into smaller sizes, especially as I see you cater for XXL ?
