Essentials Merino Slouchy Sweater

Reading these reviews the main critiques seem to be transparency, pilling and scratchiness. I wonder if the colour makes a diff? I bought emerald in M. It is perfick! Not transparent. Size great for a slim waist and hips but big bust. I wore a cami underneath and didn't notice any scratchiness. Very flattering. I'll buy more - but probably learn from the experience here and have them dry cleaned.

Wisteria very pretty colour. Looks perfect with black. Quite thin - hope it washes up ok.

Bought a red currant and jewel in this and I love them..Great material for autumn.. I love the rib around the hem, holds the jumper in place with no ride up.

Bought an XL, am size 18 SARA and a 22 generally. Lovely fit. Just enough baggyness. I am 160cm so any larger size will be too long. Very happy. Thanking I might get some more!

I like this top, got L in black, yes its see through but just wear a cami underneath, with a scarf in winter, fabulous.

i love these sweaters. great fit and so comfortable material is a bit thin but doesn't look bulky when wearing a jacket. ordered the magnolia and camel colour .The magnolia is more a terracotta colour but lovely all the same.

I bought this sweater in rose - great colour. The 7/8 length sleeves are annoying and it has pilled at the back after 1 wear. However, it is a perfect lightweight sweater for layering or when the weather is just a little too cold for no jacket. It's beautiful and soft with no itchiness.

Bought this sweeter for my daughter, size was a bit small she is a size 20 and had to send the XL back for a XXL, she loves it and we ordered another one in red, disappointed that the sleeve is 3/4 length not full length as shown on the model.

I bought this top in the Moss colour and an XS. It is quite baggy, but then it's called a 'slouchy sweater', so I suppose that's fair enough! Definitely wouldn't recommend going up a size though. It is quite a flattering fit and I like the colour. My only problem is that the material is on the thin side of things - a jacket would be needed over the top in really cool weather. Other than that, it's quite a nice looking, comfortable jumper!

I was a tiny bit disapointed with this sweater as I was expecting it to be softer and heavier material. It's actually a little itchy and quite light, more suitable for Spring weather than Autumn (for me at least - I feel the cold!) It also has 3/4 length sleeves - I was expecting full length sleeves. In saying that though, I love the colour! The sweater is very flattering too. It's a lovely, light piece, just not what I expected. I won't be returning as I really like it.

Nice colour (raspberry), good lightweight fabric for warm waether but it does feel itchy on the skin.

Really like this top and fits well (am size 16 - 5'5"). Although is alittle see-through, I'd be wearing camisole or top underneath so wouldn't be a problem. Didn't find it too scratchy.

Love my new sweater, ordered it in Moss green. Sleeves are a little itchy though.

Nice top. I like the shorter sleeves as I pull them up normally anyway. Normally take a 16 on top but got Ms and they're just good. Could be a bit thicker so not soo see-thru, but realise this probably isn't realistic at this price! I don't find it scratchy at all. Overall, a nice sweater and will be great for spring.

The colour is more a rose marl rather than rose. Flattering fit

Bought this in oyster. It is scratchy, see through and much smaller than shown on model. As someone else said, she must be wearing one 3 times her usual size! Sleeves are tight. I am usually a size 18 - 20 and got the 18 because it looked so huge on the model, thought it was a very loose fitting jumper. Big mistake! Also, if this is your "top quality" wool I won't be buying anything else!

I bought 2 of these jumpers and I found them to be quite itchy and uncomfortable as well as the sizing for XXL was quite small. They were also quite thin and not suitable for very cold days in winter even with extra clothing underneath. Very disappointed will be returning.

definetly not nz merino.. more like a carpet wool... have washed it three times and it is still not soft like a merino would be... small wierd fit, model in photo must be wearing one that is maybe about 3 times bigger than she would normally wear.

I have an oyster one of these and love it. I'm a pretty standard 16 and the L is a great fit. I'm now thinking of getting a purple one and am wondering if anyone can tell me what the colour is really like. Is it a dark plum colour or is it a bright "royal" purple? (I am not talking about the old purple marl colour, I am talking about the new purple.)

I really like this jumper. Colour was much nicer than expected. Petunia stripe is a thicker knit and smaller size than the rose colour, which I also bought. I much prefer the petunia stripe. The other one is bordering on being see through.

Lovely lightweight top, I got a size M and found the fit great (I am 60kilo/153cms) Lovely 3/4 sleeve I prefer a longer garment and this was ideal.

This is a really nice tunic. It felt a bit itchy the first couple of minutes as I put it on but that was it. Raspberry Marl is a nice colour too.

I loved this jumper so much I ordered it in more colours. I am tall, with a big bust but have a relatively small waist so it can be hard to get a flattering top. This does the job wonderfully. I only wish it was a little thicker. I would be happy to pay more for this style if they would make it a little less see through. On the plus side though, the thickness it is currently makes it lovely and lightweight while still being warm.

I bought 4 of these and will probably live in them over winter. They are an easy fit and flattering on a large bust. The dropped shoulders are not noticeable. The length is quite long yet the arms are quite short, which I liked as the waist band holds the jersey where you place it and sleeves can be slightly pushed back. Colours vibrant and true to picture. The light pink was only slightly see through but not too bad. Warm but like wearing air!

These are really gorgeous jumpers. The wool is fine and luxurious - it looks very expensive. I saw a similar designer jumper for $249! I have a large bust and small waist and these are perfect - the v neck is not deep enough to be revealing but enough to flatter and to use for layering a singlet. I have them in lots of colours now - black is so versatile and the rose pink very pretty.

Quite a loose fit at the top, but suprisingly fitted at the hips which gives a nice casual look. I bought S (I am an 8-10), fits perfect though a little looser that expected. Gorgeous soft material and colour (petunia stripe).

Drapes really nicely for a larger person, I felt like a girl in the Marshmallow Marl. I am buying some more.

I love this slouchy sweater. It is so comfortable and can easily be worn casually to University or even the gym as an extra layer. I bought the 'Sand Marl' and am just buying my second in 'Grey Marl'. Wish there wasn't such a delay on the other colours..

Beautiful soft merino in a great, comfy style for the up-coming warmer months. I haven't been disappointed yet by the merino range from Ezibuy this year.I chose grey marle which is a lovely light shade that compliments heaps in my wardrobe. A fab buy!

Luv the cut of this but Merino not the greatest quality so pills terribly. Glad I got black so it doesn't show as bad.....haven't worn the camel yet.

I bought two of these, one rose coloured and one petunia stripe. The rose coloured jumper is bigger and a thinner knit (slightyl see through)than the petunia stripe. It is a nice jumper and sits as shown in the picture. Sizing a bit on the larger size for this colour

Most tops described as 'classic fit' I buy in Size 18 or XL. The XL fitted perfectly. This sweater is very lightweight but perfect over a shirt for our Brisbane climate. Although described as 'slouchy' it is not baggy, more of an 'ezifit'. The wool is a little scratchy on the skin but I bought it to wear over tops. At the sale price, it is a good buy.

Nice sweater and a good fit. Why the sleeves are not full length is beyond me, they almost are but not quite, odd.

I bought the rose marl in size M (I'm usually size 12). Comfortable, fis well, fairly warm but lightweight, and great price. Just ordered a second one in blue.

I am size 12,bought size S,fits perfect,still loose.Material is soft,bit scratchy,but expected from wool.Great value,bought one in each colour

I've bought this top in the rose marl colour, very nice colour. The top is almost true to size as it is quite long. The fabric is nice and soft, can be a bit scratchy if you wear just after shower or when you are sweating. Generally it's a good top for the price and I wear it mainly at home:) hope the info helps

I am usually a size 10 and it fits perfectly as a S, however the marshmallow mari is very see through and would need to wear another light layer beneath it..Otherwise would definitely buy it again in another colour.

Lovely jumper, looks and sits exactly as in the picture. Wool is a little scratchy, but softens up after a wash. Good basic jumper.

The raspberry marle reminds me of a school uniform, I like the fit, swapping it for the pink.

A great buy - definitely a top for layering (as see-through) but about to buy my 2nd!!

I bought this in black and its super comfy and washes well. I'm a 12-14 and the medium fits perfectly.

I bought this in the Rose Marle. Got a medium and I'm normally a 12-14. Fits perfectly. Very happy with this, lovely and soft, easy to wear.

Surprised at the many good reviews. I bought this jersey in a size L but wasn't 'slouchy' at all, could have done with an XL and also found it pilled badly. Have previously bought Glassons merino and it doesn't do this, seems better quality though cheaper. Didn't both sending back but only wear at home.

I was initially happy with this jumper, the fit was good and true to size. It was a little scratchy but after being washed (by hand) it looked shabby and had pilled - ended up sending it back.

Ok but not like most the merino i own. sort of thick and hard. maybe it will soften with washing. I is a bit of an odd shape, would be suited to really skinny girls. i am older and have a tum and it doesnt quite sit right. widest part is under the arms.

Bought this in the ice blue colour in my normal size XL. Great colour, feel and price but too large and baggy and so thin you could see right through it so I sent it back.

This is a lovely fit and feel, however have to point out that the sleeves are quite dropped off the shoulder and this a pronounced feature. Not sure if this would settle with washing or if I should return.

Not happy, not like any other Merino jumper I have ever brought. Thin, scratchy, pills terrible and has gone out of shape. Fitting not like shown on the model but that is happening all the time now. Ezibuy quality not as it once was which is a real shame

Revising review down. Shrinks in wash - followed all washing instructions - not sure if it is redeemable.

I liked this a lot - am size 14 on top and M was a good fit for me, but sadly after the first wash per instructions this jumper looked horribly old and misshapen so I sent it back.

Returned.very see through and sizing was way off.I didn't think the picture was a good representation.

Scratchy material. Size on this one seems off. Purchased another of these also size L in grape, which was true to size. This one too small. Would have been adorable in soft material. Will be returning.

Disappointed - Ice Blue incibid

I seem to be the only person who doesn't like this top. The drop shoulder comes down too far as my arms are not as long as the models. The colour is true to the picture but the fabric is scratchy and not soft at all - feels like a hessian sack. Fits like one too. Too long for me. This one is being returned.

A shame this jumper is much too thin, tissue paper thin. It fits beautifully but is far too thin for the money.

17 Aug - really disappointed with this one, the cut/shape was terrible. Very unflattering and narrows considerably at the bottom. Ordered camel and the colour was ok - except for strains of blue through it? Sending back.

I got this in XS and I found it was too big everywhere. To be fair it IS called a 'Slouchy Sweater'. If there's anyone else out there who's size 6-8 please know that it's REALLY slouchy.

This item is very thin & a bit nasty. Large is very very large & I'm debating about returning
