Received this today and absolutely love it. Thanks to the comments from the previous reviewers, I ordered expecting it to be a much darker background colour than what is shown in the picture. It is much darker, definitely more of a dark biscuit, but I think it actually really adds to the vintage feel of the set. Looks perfect in my bedroom.

I agree with Katherine in that the background color is more tan/brown, whereas it looks off-white in the picture. However I really like the duvet and happen to have sheets that match the background colour so it's perfect.

I love the french influence in the colour combination used in this quilt. Comes as pictured & I agree with other reviews that the background colour is more beige than cream, so I was expecting it darker than the catalogue image as I had read other people's reviews when I ordered it.

Really nice colours, not over bright, our bedroom is a tea colour and it suits the room well

It looks like cream background in picture but it is tan background I loved the look but it is not cream as I wanted

Loved this even though color slightly differant to photo. Washed it and when ironing found fabric not cut on straight and fabric twisted. Also the ribbon and fabric puckered and would not iron out. Returned for credit

I though the reviews"background color is more tan/brown" would be great, but every color was dull.. Returned ,better luck next time

Received this yesterday & was very disappointed. The background colour is a lot darker than in the picture, it's actually more tan than the bright cream it looks & makes it look drab, I'll be sending this one back.

The colors are very 'dull' made the room sad looking - returned.

I really love the colour of this, it's very vintage. My only complaint is that the fabric crinkles easily & puckers where the plain & printed fabrics are sewn together across the middle of the duvet cover. I'd love it to look as smooth as the picture.

I recently purchased this item on order no. 2005341183 and am so disappointed that I will not be using it. The colour was nothing like it looked on the web site and the quality of the fabric is less than I imagined. Also the satin riboning causes it to pucker and wrinkle. Certainly not worth what I paid for it. I will be giving it to Vinnies and purchasing one elsewhere of a better quality.

Totally disappointed with this. Colour is everything! The photo is not representative of the actual colours... background is a dull baby-poo brown, not the light cream shown. And the back is not the pale blue it seems to be, but instead a dull greyish sage green. The design and colour combination looks like a left-over from the 1950s. I so dislike this, will never use it and wish I could return it. The other one I bought at the same time is exactly as shown in the photo - so why the difference?
